Good Business Habits

Good Business Habits

Breaking a habit is harder than making a habit.

It’s easiest to do the same thing today that you did yesterday. This is why breaking habits is hard, because if you have a bad habit, it’s easier to do the same bad thing today than it is to stop and change it. And if changing your habit feels bad, then it’s extra work AND it feels bad. It’s much better to take the time to do something right the first time around and build good habits.

Good habits don’t come free.

The first time you do anything, you have to stop and think about what you’re doing, so why not do it right the first time? Be aware of any new work and procedures you’re doing in your business for the first time. Do it well the first time, and the likelihood is that you’ll do it well again the second time.

A business needs good habits to grow.

The way a company grows and succeeds is by having good habits, or as I like to say, by doing everything well. When growth opportunities come along, nothing gets in their way.
